WP1 – Projectmanagement & Kwaliteitsborging

Work Package 1 (WP1) vormt het fundament van het BIRDS-project. Binnen dit werkpakket zorgen we ervoor dat het volledige Erasmus+ traject gedurende 36 maanden (2026–2028) professioneel, gestructureerd en volgens de Europese richtlijnen wordt uitgevoerd.

Omdat BIRDS een internationaal samenwerkingsproject is met partners uit Nederland, Frankrijk, Tsjechië en Malta, is sterke coördinatie essentieel. Badminton Nederland vervult hierin de rol van projectcoördinator.

Wat houdt WP1 concreet in?

1. Internationale coördinatie

WP1 zorgt voor de dagelijkse aansturing van het project. Dit betekent:

• Maandelijkse online projectmeetings
• Vijf fysieke Transnational Project Meetings (TPM’s)
• Heldere taakverdeling tussen partners
• Monitoring van voortgang, mijlpalen en deliverables

Zo bewaken we samen dat alle onderdelen – van onderzoek tot app-ontwikkeling en pilots in clubs en scholen – goed op elkaar aansluiten.

2. Kwaliteitsborging

Binnen Erasmus+ wordt niet gekeken naar gemaakte kosten, maar naar de kwaliteit van de opgeleverde resultaten.

WP1 zorgt daarom voor:

• Structurele kwaliteitscontrole per werkpakket
• Monitoring van risico’s en planning
• Externe evaluatie
• Tussentijdse voortgangsrapportages

Dit garandeert dat de BIRDS Toolkit, de FMS-oefenstof en de BIRDS App daadwerkelijk voldoen aan de hoge standaarden die we als badmintonsector nastreven.

3. Financieel en administratief beheer

Als coördinator is Badminton Nederland verantwoordelijk voor:

• Correcte naleving van de Erasmus+ Grant Agreement
• Budgetbewaking per werkpakket
• Rapportage aan de Europese Commissie
• Transparante samenwerking met alle partners

Hiermee waarborgen we dat het project niet alleen inhoudelijk sterk is, maar ook administratief volledig op orde.

Work Package 1 (WP1) forms the foundation of the BIRDS project. Within this work package, we ensure that the entire 36-month Erasmus+ trajectory (2026–2028) is implemented in a professional, structured, and fully compliant way according to European requirements.

Since BIRDS is an international cooperation project involving partners from the Netherlands, France, Czechia, and Malta, strong coordination is essential. Badminton Netherlands acts as the project coordinator.

What does WP1 include?

1. International Coordination

WP1 ensures the daily steering and alignment of the project. This includes:

• Monthly online coordination meetings
• Five in-person Transnational Project Meetings (TPMs)
• Clear task division among partners
• Monitoring of progress, milestones, and deliverables

This structure guarantees that all components — from research and toolkit development to app creation and pilot implementation in clubs and schools — are properly aligned.

2. Quality Assurance

Within Erasmus+, funding is based on the quality of delivered results, not on actual expenses.

WP1 therefore ensures:

• Ongoing quality control across all work packages
• Risk monitoring and timeline supervision
• External evaluation
• Interim progress reporting

This guarantees that the BIRDS Toolkit, the Fundamental Motor Skills (FMS) content, and the BIRDS App meet the high standards expected within the badminton sector.

As project coordinator, Badminton Netherlands is responsible for:

• Compliance with the Erasmus+ Grant Agreement
• Budget monitoring per work package
• Reporting to the European Commission
